Quite humorous :)

I'm a Mac“I’m a Mac”, “and I’m a PC”. These lines begin one of Apple’s most popular advertisements in TV, radio, web and print. People love them, and even more people hate them, whether because it makes them laugh, or find the ‘simpleton’ background music annoying, or are infuriated because they believe they are bringing a false message to the masses.

Wordpress Yeah, I upgraded WordPress to the latest version, 2.1. I vaguelly recall it being so fantastic that it would do all these awesome things for you, including cleaning your room and making you a cup of tea.

One thing that I do recall it doing is full compatibility with the Lightbox plugin (or should I say, the plugin is completely compatible with WordPress 2.1). This plugin unfortunately isn’t compatible with my current LazyImageLayout plugin that I have been using for my posts — it puts thumbnails within a pretty white padded border and floats it within textual content — but with what I am hoping is actual automatic thumbnailing on WordPress 2.1′s part, I might be able to use built-in WordPress functionality to make my blog look pretty.

Maybe.

EDIT: OK so after a bit of mucking about, I finally got it working and to make it look like nothing’s really changed. I am using a mashup of LazyImageLayout CSS classes for all anchor tags, and I got LightBox working after having to alter the source code for it, as it anticipates parameter values in anchor tags to be surrounded by double-quotes and not single ones, as inserted by default within WordPress 2.1. All these issues fixed now, and from now on all images within posts starting from today will have LightBox working. I am not sure why older posts aren’t supported, but I am not that bothered to try and fix it.
